Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's night team. Here's an opportunity to be part of a unit that provides extensive multidisciplinary team (MDT) support to both patients and colleagues. You'll collaborate with professionals such as Ward Managers, Charge Nurses, Doctors, Support Workers, Therapists, Activity Coordinators, and the Senior Management Team.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, your role involves caring for patients with acute mental health needs admitted for assessment and treatment.

Their Nurses work flexible night shift patterns (19:30 pm – 08:00 am), with 7 shifts over a 14-day period. Flexible working and part-time options are also available.

About Our Client:

Our client is a 28-bed hospital located in Willenhall. The hospital comprises three small acute wards, fostering a community atmosphere.

They focus on providing a person-centred approach and therapeutic environment, promoting collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals. Their goal is to support patients' safe discharge back into the community for continued recovery in a less restrictive environment.

Patients are typically referred to our client from local NHS trusts. They pride themselves on fostering excellent working relationships with patients, families, and external agencies to support collaborative care and ensure clear communication throughout the care pathway, facilitating individuals' recovery and discharge. Their interventions encompass a wide range of therapeutic approaches, integrating psychiatric and cognitive behavioural perspectives with occupational therapy, psychology, and leisure and recreational activities.

To excel in this position, you should have:

  • Valid NMC registration as RMN or RNLD
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health services
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development
  • A positive attitude and dedication to change, improvement, and quality
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices
  • Understanding of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
