Job Opportunity:

An exciting prospect awaits, offering comprehensive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) support for both patients and colleagues. Joining a dedicated team comprising Ward Managers, Charge Nurses, Doctors, Support Workers, Therapists, Activity Coordinators, and Senior Management, you will play a pivotal role in providing care to patients with acute mental health needs.

Situated in Willenhall, our client comprises three intimate acute wards, fostering a sense of community within the hospital.

Their focus is centred on delivering personalised care and creating a therapeutic milieu conducive to collaborative care planning, ultimately facilitating patients' progress towards recovery and successful community reintegration.

Referrals to our client primarily stem from local NHS trusts, underscoring their strong partnerships and commitment to seamless collaboration with patients, families, and external agencies. Their interventions encompass a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, blending psychiatric and cognitive behavioural approaches with occupational therapy, psychology, and recreational activities.

As a Charge Nurse, you will serve as a role model, fostering the professional growth of your team while actively contributing to process enhancement and quality improvement initiatives. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to influence patient experiences and foster a positive working environment.

Collaborating closely with the Ward Manager, you will spearhead efforts to enhance patient experiences and contribute to site improvement plans. Flexibility is key, as the role entails working across various shifts, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays, with the expectation of assuming ward management responsibilities in the absence of your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • Experience in mental health services (RMNs and RNLDs welcome)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development post-registration
  • Positive attitude towards change, improvement, and quality
  • Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
