Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for 3x Unqualified Social Workers/Newly Qualified Social Workers to work within in Brent.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Unqualified Social worker/Newly Qualified Social Worker job is £20 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.


  • To assess the social care needs of adults in a timely way and determine if it is possible to reduce or delay need by providing a preventative service such as equipment, minor adaptations, Telecare or enablement.

  • To provide information and advice concerning Council services, Health services, welfare benefits and access to local voluntary services. To complete referrals for services such as Telecare and enablement, and to arrange provision of equipment and minor adaptations.

  • To undertake Care Act 2014 assessments for adults and their careers and make determinations of eligibility, working with an independent advocate if the adult needs their support to be involved.

Requirements of the Unqualified Social Worker/Newly Qualified Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work.

  • Current HCPC registration.

  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult Services.
