Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Theatre Practitioner Scrub to work in Kingston Upon Thames. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The salary for this permanent Theatre Practitioner Scrub role is £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Summary:
- It is expected that following appropriate development and support Band 5 registered nurses will co-ordinate ward activities on a regular basis. This includes; responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for patients, supervising nursing staff and delegating effectively.
- By demonstrating knowledge and competence in relation to firmly established procedures and policies, participate in the professional and skills development of newly appointed band 5 staff and unqualified nursing staff, supporting them in meeting the requirements of their post through the development of knowledge and skills.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implement basic nursing care independently.
- Implement new/complex care with supervision.
- Practise in own clinical area of practice to agreed competency level.
- Implement research based practice.
- Participate with the multi-disciplinary team in decision making regarding patient care.
- Accurately documents care and evaluate.
- Recognise potential clinical challenges and ways of dealing with them.
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice.
Requirements of the Theatre Practitioner Scrub:
- Valid NMC registration
- A degree or equivalent within nursing
- UK Nursing experience
- Minimum 6 months scrub experience
- Up to date clinical knowledge
