Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Technical Project Manager to work full-time in Haringey. The pay rate for this locum Technical Project Manager job is £450 per day (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties of the Technical Project Manager:

  • Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and safe execution of the SharePoint Online migration project, engaging with stakeholders and actively participating in all phases of the project.
  • Manage the change control procedure and ensure that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gain agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain realistic project schedules (showing tasks and dependencies) and track activities against them, providing regular and accurate reports to the Portfolio Office, sponsors or senior management as appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for the creation of business readiness /  go live plans, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment.
  • Determine the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncover readiness gaps and create and implement (or hand over to the business where appropriate) action plans to close the gaps prior to go-live.  
  • Monitor outcomes against what was predicted in the business case, and ensure that all participants are informed and involved throughout the change and fully prepared to exploit the new operational business environment once it is in place.
  • Allocate responsibilities and assign packages of work to project team members, ensuring that work packages are aligned with the skills and abilities of the individuals.
  • Monitor and account for expenditure and make early identification of where costs may exceed planned budget and provide timely reports, ensuring that all financial targets can be met.
  • Ensure the security of information and information systems by encouraging and enforcing adherence to IT policies that ensure availability, integrity, authentication and confidentiality.
