Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to work full-time within a Child Protection Team based in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Team Manager job is £42 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
About the role:
- Provide strategic leadership across the Wakefield Children's Safeguarding Partnership
- To enable the Council to continue to improve outcomes for children and families and strengthen its partnership approach to safeguarding children and families.
- provide strategic and operational management to a multi-disciplinary team to enable Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) to fulfill the requirements set out in the governments Working Together to Safeguard Children strategy.
- Lead or support all areas of WSCP activity, including: - Managing the work of the Business Team - Processing of Serious Case reviews - Coordinating WSCP forums and chairing multi agency meetings in relation to operational safeguarding issues - Providing advice and guidance on all safeguarding matters.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- 2 years management experience
- Detailed knowledge and understanding in the field of safeguarding children and child protection, together with extensive experience of managing the risk of harm to individuals and the wider community within a safeguarding and public protection context.
- Experience in managing practitioners involved in safeguarding, who work with vulnerable young people and effectively manage the additional demands this puts on them.
