Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to fill a full-time role within Children's Service based in Waltham Forest, within the Safeguarding Team.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is £52,464 - £55,482 per annum.

Duties:

  • To provide professional leadership for staff within children's social care services, supporting them to have the appropriate tools to carry out their role.
  • To be responsible for the overall monitoring and performance of individuals and the team as a whole
  • To maintain a knowledge of relevant legislation and research, to ensure that services respond proactively to required changes
  • To create an effective learning environment within a team
  • To develop and implement the Team's Business Plan, ensuring that it reflects the Children's Services Plan.
  • To recognise problems at an early stage, and identify solutions.
  • To demonstrate commitment to the Council's Core Values and to the Council's Management Standards
  • Responsibility for carrying out files audits, and sharing practice and learning points within the Team and across the service
  • To have a knowledge and understanding of key Performance Indicators and other local targets. To ensure that the Team are aware of their performance in relation to these, and to ensure that action is taken to achieve top quartile performance.

Requirements:

  • A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
  • Registered on Social Work England.
  • Management experience is essential.
