Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to fill a full-time role within a Looked After Children's Team based in Dorset.
The pay rate for this locum Team Manager job is £41 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- To lead and manage work with children in permanent placements.
- To work closely with internal and external providers to ensure resilient and sustainable placements for children and care.
- To promote and encourage positive contact for children in care with their birth families.
- To lead and develop life story work for children in permanent placements to support lifelong links for children in care.
- To support and promote strength based approach to develop the use of research and evidence in informed practice to proactively manage a staff team.
- To ensure that children's carers and families are provided with the right support at the right time to work as a part of a multi agency partnership.
- To meet the needs of children, carers and families to be informed and involved in the local community, developing local services and networks to provide sustained support for families.
- To role model best practice and ensure that new guidance and legislation is shared and understood, to provide and use management information and performance data to support service development
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Registered on Social Work England.
- Management experience is essential.
- Due to current government restrictions around essential travel, you would need to be able to travel to or from your home to the office or remain in Dorset.
