Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to work full-time in a Fostering Team in Heywood. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum.
Duties:
- Manage the day to day work of a well-established and experienced team. You will motivate, supervise and support the work of your team of Supervising Social Workers to achieve key targets within the development plan and ensure that good outcomes for children are achieved and celebrated. You will develop and maintain good relations with local authorities within the area to provide placement choice and excellent matching opportunities, furthering the excellent reputation of the Company. Ensuring that carers are informed of, and fully comply with all standards Policies and guidance, including safe caring guidelines agreed by Capstone.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Applicants will have an up to date knowledge of the Children's Act 1989 and an operational knowledge of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services; Fostering Services Regulations 2011, The Care Standards Act 2000 and any other legislation relevant to the needs of looked after children, care leavers and foster carers.
- Five years' experience of working in fostering related social work and/or children's social work, experience of assessing potential foster carers is essential.
- You will hold a full current driver's license and understand the need to at times work unsociable hours when on duty and as needed for care supervision and other placement related needs.
