Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to fill a full-time role within Children's Service based in Coventry, within the Fostering Team.
The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is £42,683 per annum.
The Connected Persons Teams are responsible for the assessment of Connected Persons Foster Carers and Special Guardians and the Supervision of Connected Persons Foster Carers and the Support of Special Guardians.
Duties:
- To manage this new team and have line management responsibility for assessing social workers.
Supporting the development of best practice in this area of work.
Supporting Foster Placements towards transition and staying put of older children - Carrying out Form F assessments (Check the candidate is Form F trained)
- Recruiting foster carers
- Attending core group, strategy meetings and case conferences
- Working in partnership with the local authority's legal teams
- Joint working with children Social Workers on Form C Assessments
- Carrying out initial discussions and initial visits with prospective foster carers
- Ensuring safeguarding and child protection legislation is being adhered too
- Presenting Form F assessments to panel
- Carrying out Form Reg 24 Connected Person assessments
- Carrying out life story work with children
Requirements:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Registered on Social Work England.
- Management experience is essential.
- Must have experience of working with Foster Carers and Special Guardians along with a solid understanding of the legislation, policy and best practice guidance underpinning this work.
