Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to work full-time within a Children with Disabilities Team in Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children Services and be registered with the Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Team Manager job is £38 per hour (Assignment Rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Responsibility for ensuring effective delivery and improvement of services to children, young people and their families within their discipline, to the highest standard, within the County Council's standing orders and scheme of delegation, on time and within budget
- Leadership and management of a team, ensuring team members work effectively with children, young people and their families, all internal and partner agency staff, and carry out their statutory duties as set out principally in relevant childcare legislation
- To ensure that services are planned and delivered in a way that maximizes participation and reflects children's rights in relation to services being provided
- This post holder is responsible for ensuring that all County Child Protection Policies are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience working as a Team Manager within social work
- Considerable experience of child protection, children in need and looked after children services delivered in a statutory setting
- Experience of effective supervision or coaching of staff
- Experience of effective inter-agency working
