Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to work within a Children's Assessment Team based in Barking and Dagenham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Children Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is £50,011 to £53,950 per annum.
Main Duties:
As postholder of this role you will be responsible for delivering services to children and young people through the operational management and supervision of social work teams.
Focus on working with MASH colleagues and managing case allocations, having casework oversight including auditing of cases.
Offer reflective supervision and support the progress and professional development of each member of your team.
Be able to demonstrate what excellent social work practice is, together with sound safeguarding knowledge.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
Degree or equivalent in Social Work
Current Social Work England registration
Experience working as a Social Worker
Previous experience managing social workers but experience as a team manager within children's social care is desirable.
Have excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to incorporate the Strengthening Families Model in your management role which builds on families' strengths with a focus on protective factors.
