Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to fill a full-time role within a Children's Services based in Kingston Upon Thames, within the youth Resilience Service.

The salary for this permanent Team Leader job is £47,511 - £50,448 per annum.

The focus of the service will be on young people who are:

  • Aged 13 + with multiple vulnerabilities and engaged in risky behaviour whose needs cannot be met by Family and Youth Support cluster teams
  • Aged 10 + who may enter the criminal justice system and require youth justice intervention and those under 13 who require substance misuse support
  • Engaged with offending and or substance misuse, risky behaviour or at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
  • At risk of homelessness with a focus on 16/17-year olds
  • At risk of becoming children looked after.

Duties:

  • To ensure the service delivers high quality health and wellbeing screening/ assessments and interventions for vulnerable adolescents.
  • To ensure that that all children and young people are safeguarded effectively through robust assessment and care plans and can achieve best outcomes through a seamless journey through the service that works to the principle of one assessment, one care plan and one lead professional, providing right support at the right time and right place in a systemic way
  • To ensure that all young offenders serve their sentence and are effectively safeguarded and supported in their rehabilitation, achieving best outcomes whilst ensuring that general public is protected
  • To support practitioners to develop and provide effective personalised support to young people and their families that meet their needs in line with the Youth Resilience Intervention framework
  • To champion and ensure effective use of Signs of Safety and systemic working as well as effective collaboration with cluster teams is integral within the practice of the designated team
  • To undertake quality assurance activities in line with service requirements and national standards for youth justice, including quality assuring of assessments care plans, court reports
  • To ensure that the services' resources are used creatively to make every effort to prevent

Requirements:

  • A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
  • Registered on Social Work England.
  • Management experience is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a similar team is essential
