Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Work Team Leader to work within a care home based in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of direct line management
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £14.05-£20.00 per hour (Assignment Rates) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Job Summary:
To be responsible for the day to day supervision and delivery of a high quality care service focused on individual service user outcomes and in line with National Care Standards and the Policies and Procedures of the City of Edinburgh Council.
Responsibilities:
Care Home Manager has direct line management responsibility for all Care Home staff (Social Workers and Social Care Assistants), the postholder must ensure that Social Care Workers and Social Care Assistants comply with prescribed standards of care set out in the Care Standard.
They will provide advice, guidance, instruct and supervision to Social Care Workers and Social Care Assistants on a shift basis.
Requirements of the Care Home Team Leader:
Substantial experience working with older people
Experience of working with older people with dementia
An understanding of the needs of older people
Experience of working with members of the public
Experience of working with Health Care Professionals
Responding to and providing advice and guidance to staff, service users and others
Customer care
Planning and organising workload effectively
