Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Support Assistant to work full-time based in Tower Hamlets.

The salary for this permanent Support Assistant role is £18,450 per annum.

Duties:

  • Ensure the service is running at a high standard and meeting all the service specification outlined by commissioners.
  • Raise customer awareness of local services and facilities and support engagement with these services. This includes One Housing's Employment & Training Team and Volunteer & Partnership Team.
  • To carry out support planning, risk assessments and reviews for lower need customers.
  • To refer more complex cases to a Support Officer.
  • Develop a wide range of activities, including group sessions, social events, workshops, and group activities, designed to provide young people with additional life skills.

Requirements of the Support Assistant:

  • To be willing to work towards the Level 3 VQ Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g. Level 3 BTEC Advanced Certificate in Positive Behavioural Support)
  • Shift work is required, with double cover between the hours of 8.00am to 11.00pm, and regular sleep in shifts
  • Demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable adults, whether in a voluntary or paid capacity.
  • Previous experience working with homeless people desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to manage and maintain administration and recording systems.
