Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to fill a full-time role within a Fostering Team based in Redhill, Surrey.
The pay rate for this locum Supervising Social Worker job is £38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To assess, supervise and support foster carers and their families in providing care for 'Looked After Children'.
- The role holder will promote Corporate Parenting by working alongside Social Workers and other agencies to ensure children's care plans are met.
- The role holder will ensure that 'Looked After Children' reach their full potential in respect of the five outcomes and have equal access to services.
- Use assessment procedures discerningly in response to the presenting needs and to ensure that a proportionate assessment is completed in a way that enables maximum participation.
- Provide information, advice and guidance in line with current national legislation and to recognise the need for, and appropriately signpost to other agencies, services or providers.
Requirements:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work)
- Qualified HCPC registered Social Worker
- 2 years post qualifying experience
- Up to date working knowledge of relevant national and local policy and statutory guidance and legislation in relation to the provision of social care services
- Sound knowledge of social care processes and responsibilities in line with personalisation, self directed support and person centred planning
