Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervising Social Workers to work full-time in a Fostering Team based in Swindon. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for these locum Social Worker jobs are £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3 month contract.
1x Vacancy- Recruitment and Assessment Team. We require an experienced fostering social worker, who has experience of undertaking fostering assessments. The team currently completes Reg 24 assessments, Connected Persons Assessments, Form F Assessments and SGO Assessments, so experience of completing these is essential. In addition to assessment work, social workers will be expected to be part of our duty service, along with recruitment elements, such as Information Sessions.
1x Vacancy- Support and Supervision Team. We require an experienced fostering social worker who understands the role of both supporting and supervising foster carers. Ensuring placements are a high quality and meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable, complex children. The social worker needs to be organised and be able to manage complex situations, demonstrate an ability to assess risk and offer practical, pragmatic support to promote placement stability. The role is full-time, practitioners will be responsible for managing their own caseload of foster carers, alongside some duty related tasks. Experience of delivering training and facilitating foster carers support groups would also be of benefit.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
