Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to work full-time in Woking, within the Adoption and Permanency Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Supervising Social Worker job is £32 - £35 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Supervising Social Worker:
- To assess, supervise and support foster carers and their families in providing care for 'Looked After Children'.
- Promote Corporate Parenting by working alongside Social Workers and other agencies to ensure children's care plans are met.
- Ensure that children and young people are adequately protected in line with SCPC and departmental policy and procedures and relevant legislation. This will involve working within statutory responsibilities and departmental policies, including recording, report writing, file access, complaints, confidentiality and SWIFT. The role holder will also present Foster Carer Assessments (Form F and Regulation 38s), as well as annual reviews to the Foster Panel.
- ensure that 'Looked After Children' reach their full potential in respect of the five outcomes and have equal access to services.
Requirements of the Supervising Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
