Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervising Social Worker to work based in Norwood.

The salary for this permanent Supervising Social Worker role is £36,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Act as the named Social Worker, supervising, supporting, and developing designated foster carers.

  • Recruit, assess, and prepare potential foster carers.

  • Participate in training of staff, foster carers, and potential foster carers.

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with regulation and agency requirements and contribute to the evaluation and continual improvement of the organisation.

  • Supervision of Foster Carers.

  • Visit assigned carers regularly while the child is placed with them and keep in regular contact when there is no child in placement.

  • Ensure that foster carers are informed, and fully comply with all standards and policies and guidance, including safe caring guidelines, agreed by GLF.

  • Take responsibility in assisting in the career development of carers, establishing training needs with them and making plans to meet these.

  • Prepare an Annual Review Report on each career for presentation to the Panel.

Requirements of the Supervising Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.

  • Current Social Work England registration.

  • Recent post-qualifying experience within frontline social work.
