Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to work full-time in Hampshire, within the Fostering Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.

The salary for this Social Worker job is £27,000 - £320,000 per annum and is on a permanent basis.

Duties:

  • Undertaking parenting assessments for parent and child placements

  • Being involved in the recruitment campaign for the programme foster carers

  • Training foster carers in both Skills to Foster and the Blue Sky + Therapeutic Led Care (TLC) Programme

  • Guide and support foster carers in understanding the developmental trauma needs of children

  • Undertake direct work as necessary

  • Participate in the 'out of office hours' duty system providing telephone support to Foster Carers

  • Ensure all documentation is completed to the required standard and timescale, including paperless recording, IT diary and notifications

  • Maintain communication and workload planning systems

  • Undertake regular self-audits of record-keeping and report as necessary

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work

  • Current Social Work England registration

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role

  • Full driving licence
