Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Substance Misuse Nurse to fill a full-time role in Crawley. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Nurse role is £27 per hour (LTD) and is an initial 5-month contract.
Main Duties:
- To provide advice, information and harm reduction interventions on a one-to-one basis, participate in the delivery of group programmes
- To offer healthcare assessments, information and access to BBV testing, vaccinations and treatment and support medical interventions offered to service users via close monitoring of prescribing programmes
- To work within the requirements of the PHE including NICE guidelines and Drug Misuse & Dependence UK Guidelines on Clinical Management 2007 and the local four tier model for substance misuse services for service users
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in mental health nursing
- Current NMC registration (RGN/RMN)
- Significant experience as a substance misuse nurse
- Extensive knowledge and experience of substance misuse
