Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Strategy and Commissioning Manager to fill a full-time role based in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's services.

The pay rate for this Strategy and Commissioning Manager job is £500 per day and is a 6-month contract.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To set the corporate strategy and priorities, ensuring these are based on evidence and aligned with political priorities.
  • Ensuring services, programmes, projects and employees are working towards a common set of outcomes as specified in the Corporate Plan.
  • To design & commission how the outcomes defined in strategic planning get delivered. This will include identifying resources, partnerships and funding, managing large scale procurements and then ongoing strategic contract and performance management.
  • This role may also include representing the Council's interest on third party bodies, wholly or partially owned entities and with strategic partnerships.
  • To drive, develop and oversee the implementation of the placement strategy within Children's Services.
  • The strategy must ensure that we work with children and families to help support them to remain together when it is safe to do so, offer high quality evidence based practice, strong and effective management oversight, consistently good services which provides good quality care when children are looked after.

Requirements of the Strategy and Commissioning Manager:

  • Must have a current registration with the HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council)
  • Recent experience within a similar role
