Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time based in Barking and Dagenham.
The pay rate for this locum Speech and Language Therapist job is £30.96 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Work as part of the ASD diagnostic clinic in B&D
- Manage a caseload of children with a range of communication needs (with a high focus on social communication referrals) across settings including schools and clinic
- Work with Children with Education and Health Care Plans where SLT has been identified as part of the provision
- Complete assessments and annual reviews, write individual programmes, set up groups, provide advice and resources and review outcomes with a functional-based focus
- Work collaboratively with children, families and other professionals to achieve outcomes for individuals, providing support, programmes, ideas, advice and assessment
- Provide advice to others regarding the management and care of children with social communication difficulties
- Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures
- Provide a service considering the needs of clients from a range of ethnic and linguistic backgrounds
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered as a Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
