Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Band 6/7 Oncology Speech and Language Therapist to work based in Northwood.
The pay rate for this locum Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist job is £25-31 per hour (assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- The post holder will be based operationally within the AHP Therapy service, working under the direction of the AHP Head of Therapies.
- Professional links will be maintained with SLT colleagues for supervision and to facilitate patient care via the Lead SLT for Head and Neck Cancer.
- This is a full-time post within the Speech & Language Therapy team with a primary focus covering Head and Neck Services on the inpatient wards and in outpatients.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
- The post holder will be an experienced SLT who uses specialist knowledge and skills to undertake assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Dysphagia, Voice and Communication needs. This may include participating in video fluoroscopic swallow studies and fibre-optic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and tracheostomy management.
