Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time based in Bournemouth. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Speech and Language Therapist job is £25 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3 month contract.
Duties:
- To provide specialist and comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy interventions for people with communication disorders and dysphagia in an acute inpatient setting, stroke rehabilitation unit and in the Early Support Discharge service.
- To work as a member of multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) in offering patients an effective and efficient evidence-based service.
- To participate in the provision of education and training to the MDT and others regarding the management of communication disorders and dysphagia.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered as a Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Experience of working with adults in an acute setting
- Dysphagia competent
