Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work based in Newham, within the Adult Dysphagia Team.
The pay rate for this locum Speech and Language Therapist job is £26.82 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Working Hours:
- Work 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties:
- Provide SLT input to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties secondary to a wide range of physical, respiratory and mental health conditions.
- Patients referred to the service are seen in a wide range of settings including patients’ home, outpatient clinic, and mental health wards.
- Triage new referrals, independently manage a large and complex caseload of patients, and deliver training to other professionals / services if and when required.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Recent post-qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Be fully competent in dysphagia management.
- Ability to commute around the London borough of Newham via bus, train, tube or bicycle is essential, however, driving licence or access to car is not necessary.
