anctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Practitioner (Child & Adolescent Mental Health/CAMHS Nurse) specialising in ADHD to join a Team based in Guernsey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of mental health nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The salary for this Clinical Nurse Practitioner role is £38,055 - £50,172 per annum.

Duties:

  • To provide comprehensive ADHD assessment (including risk assessment) of the needs of this specialist group and their families/carers using recognised assessment tools.
  • To formulate care plans to address the mental health needs of this client group. To provide assessments and interventions for children and their families referred to the ADHD Service, based upon the Evidence based practice.
  • To work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines and agencies as appropriate throughout the assessment and treatment process. Have the professional ability to work autonomously with children and their families.
  • To work as a senior staff member providing clinically effective and, where possible, therapeutic interventions for children with ADHD and other co-morbid mental health problems.
  • To be flexible in working practices for example satellite clinics and home visits within the community.
  • To assume an active role in the ongoing development of the ADHD service and setting standards that are in line with national good practice guidance.
  • To adhere to the standards of Health and Social Care Department in relation to Record Keeping and record all client related contacts on the records system.
  • To have good awareness of safeguarding issues and to follow the correct procedures of the organisation in sharing information and reporting concerns.
  • To contribute to the development and learning needs of students and to take on the role of mentor for nursing students.

Requirements of the Clinical Nurse Practitioner:

  • NMC Registered RMN
  • Specialist Training in ADHD and Child and Adolescent Mental health;
  • DBT and Parenting Training
  • Diploma/degree in a relevant area;
  • Post registration experience working in a CAMHS team;
  • Teaching/mentoring qualification
  • Recent UK Nursing experience
