Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work based in Taunton, within the Wider Safeguarding Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Work in a strengths-based way, using motivational interviewing skills to support children and families with child in need plans, child protection plans, within PLO and proceedings, specifically where there are issues around Child Exploitation and extra familial harm.
- Work to support families where parents have learning disabilities, and support children experiencing harm where ‘hidden harm factors’ of parental domestic abuse, substance abuse and mental health are not present.
- Hold a manageable and varied case load and are supported to work creatively to engage and work with our children and families. Social workers are supported by additional resources available, such as our Family Group Conferencing service, to engage with the wider family and support families to use their own resources.
- Support Social Workers in School in Sedgemoor, who are working specifically around Child Exploitation.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Diploma or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Recent post qualification experience in frontline children’s social work.
