Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Sutton, within the Transitions Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Summary:
This is a locum social work opportunity to join a Children with Disabilities Team that works with young people with special needs, including learning disability, autism and or physical disability who are moving into adult life and from support from Children's services to Adult Social Care.
The post holder will work with young people aged 16-20, undertaking assessments and support planning under the Care Act 2014 and the Children Act 1989 making sure rights enshrined in the Mental Capacity Act 2005 are in place. The overall aim of the post is to support the young people to get a good start in life, looking at their needs holistically, including social inclusion and future goals.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
