Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to work full-time within a Child Protection Team based in Totnes. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Team Manager role is £41 per hour (Assignment rate) and this role is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
You'll allocate, audit and monitor casework, as well as supervise and monitor the progress and professional development of each member of your team. One of your key priorities will be to eliminate casework drift or delay, ensuring that everyone in the team is meeting the statutory requirements in a timely manner.
You'll also promote working effectively with partners in the locality, across universal, early help and statutory services, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will be responsible for ensuring high quality and timely assessments lead to effective planning and interventions with the most vulnerable children and families in Devon.
You will ensure our planning for looked after children enables them to be kept safe, maximises their potential, achieves permanence and leads to a successful transition to adulthood.
You will work with your Team Manager colleagues in the area to ensure that every Devon child, no matter where they live, receives the same quality service.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current Social Work England registration
Significant senior level frontline experience within children's Services
