Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Newham, within the Supporting Care Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Proven knowledge, experience and understanding of needs of vulnerable adults including environmental factors and risk and protective factors
- Proven previous experience of summarising, analysing and evaluating complex information, court of protection processes, safeguarding, reviewing needs and care planning.
- Knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation & Care Act, statutory guidance and procedures.
- Knowledge of the personalisation agenda - applying creative problem solving to maximise independence along with Setting up direct payments.
- Joint working with NHS/Health colleagues needed, CHC assessment experience
- Ability to write concise reports and have excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to create a rapport and build relationships with clients and their families/carers
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage own workload and be accountable for case work
