Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker/Senior Practitioner to work full-time in Grays in a Looked After Children Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 to £32 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 6-month contract.

Duties:

  • This service provides, support, practical advice and interventions and strategies to support children in the care of the local authority in Thurrock.
  • Children's health, well-being and their participation in decision making in all areas of their life are at the fore-front of our team's ethos.
  • There 4 teams who coordinate support for the looked after children in the case of the Local authority.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • As a Social worker in this team, you will have at least 2 years post qualification experience in a relevant sector, excellent communication skills and proven track record of working on complex needs and responding to the multiple vulnerabilities.
