Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker/Senior practitioner to work full-time within an Early Help Hub based in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker/Senior Practitioner job is £35.01 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Summary:
- The Early Help Hub provides advice, guidance and support to families, schools and early help professionals in the community, to prevent the escalation of children and young people into Statutory Services and coordinate Early Help.
- The role of the Early Help Hub Consultation Line Social Worker will be to support the wider Swindon partnership, including schools and lead professionals in the community by way of consultation.
Main Duties:
- Consult on whether threshold has been met, and what targeted Early Help support would be beneficial.
- Provide social work operational guidance and support to the Early Help Hub Workers on the coordination of Early Help.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Early Help Hub Workers and work in partnership with the newly appointed Early Help Assistant Team Manager in MASH to ensure high quality Early Help is provided to Swindon families.
- Undertake training around the delivery of Early Help to Swindon and attend Team Around the Family and School meetings where consultation is required.
Requirements of the Social Worker/Senior Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
