Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for a Social Worker to work full-time based in Corby, within the Safeguarding Team.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with Social Work England.

A community-based support and safeguarding teams complete work with children who are subject to child protection plans, child-in-need plans and care proceedings. They also support multi-agency practice in completing pre-birth and parenting assessments.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker role is £29.165 - £34,277 per annum. Plus £4,000 as a welcome bonus and £8,000 towards relocation.

Duties of the Social Worker:

  • The team are based in a Children's Resource Centre where 2 safeguarding teams work closely together supporting children and families in Corby and surrounding areas. Our teams are based in the local community close to shops and cafés and the town centre is a ten-minute walk away. Car parking onsite is free.
  • You will be joining a team of five qualified social worker's, a newly qualified social worker a family support worker and a team manager. The two teams share a consultant social worker who is here to support and promote good practice and support with complex cases. In addition, you will have access to a very willing and able business support team to assist.
  • Your team is high performing and embraces the Signs of Safety Model and way of working to improve outcomes for children and their families. There is an emphasis on good quality supervision, including 1:1, group and informal and there is always an open-door policy with visible manager support available.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
