Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Newham, within the Safeguarding Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- Undertaking Care Act assessments
- Human Rights Assessments
- Undertaking Mental Capacity assessments alongside best interest decisions
- Promoting customers choices, control and independence
- Arranging appropriate care and placing customers in nursing or residential homes if required
- Working in partnership with other professionals
- Using legislation, guidance and reflective social work practice to ensure that key concepts and theories in social work are utilised to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable adults.
- Awareness and application of a range of local and national policy and procedural frameworks when undertaking Safeguarding activity
- Ensure service users / carers are supported appropriately to understand Safeguarding issues to maximise their decision making
- Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records
- Demonstrate required level of skills and knowledge to undertake a Safeguarding Adults enquiries
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
