Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Hounslow, within the Children & Families Safeguarding & Support Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 - £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of Social Worker:
- To provide a Social Work service in accordance with departmental policies and priorities and to participate in the costing, co-ordination, monitoring and review in line with department procedures.
- To maintain awareness of current legislative requirements as relating to children and to participate in relevant training.
- To use regular supervision and staff appraisal and participate in staff meetings to ensure an effective service to users and carers and further professional development.
- To work according to the council and HCPC guidance regarding working hours, professional conduct and anti-discriminatory practice.
- To work according to the council's data protection and confidentiality standards.
- To participate in the development and implementation of performance indicators and quality service standards.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
