Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in a Safeguarding Team in Luton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 to £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6 month contract.
There are 5 teams for this model - North, East, South, West & Central - The new model will be being phased out across the teams one by one - therefore the successful candidates for these roles will need to bear in mind there will be a period of transition in which training will be being provided from the DfE funding to all involved. The team require an experienced social worker to take hold of complex cases and move them onto the next stages of their plan.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Frontline
- Referral & Assessment experience
- Intake assessments experience
- Child Protection experience
- Care Proceedings experience
- Ability to manage own case load is essential.
