Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Pre-Birth Assessment Team based in Northampton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £36 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract with possibility of extension.
This is a position which focuses on the assessment, support and intervention with their families most at risk of their children being removed at birth. You will work alongside dedicated Family Support Workers, specialist midwives and other support services as required to support these families to make the required changes prior to the birth of their child.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Demonstrable experience in providing direct work with families, especially within pre-birth assessments
- Experienced with provision of court reports and can work independently
- You must have your own transport
