Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Tiverton, within the Permanence and Transition Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's services and be registered with the Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
The team is made up of 6 social workers and 2 ASYES as well as supporting care leavers all supported by a very experienced Team manager and Assistant Team manager.
The team works with children in care and care leavers aged 0 - 25. The role will involve child in care visits, reviews, PEPs, organising health assessments, referrals to CAMHS and other services as needed, direct work with children, organising contact and liaising with families, considering rehab home plans, working towards permanence, preparing for independence, life story work, covering duty, supporting colleagues, attending team meetings and other relevant tasks.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
- Experience of working with children in care is essential
