Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work either full-time or part-time within a Community Older Adults Mental Health Service based in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £34.82 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 4-6 month contract.
Main Duties:
- The post holder will be responsible for managing their own case load, monitoring the mental health needs of patients and supporting carers.
- The applicant will also be responsible for assessing people under the Care Act and making applications for social care funding for care packages and sourcing placements.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Experience within mental health services and a keen interest in working with older adults who will have both organic and functional mental health conditions.
- The successful applicant will also need to have a sound understanding of the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act and CPA and confidence in Safeguarding procedures.
