Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in a Mental Health Team based in Haringey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (Assignment rate).

Summary:

  • As postholder of this role you will provide effective care and specialist advice for people with psychosis and complex mental health needs and their carers, in order to support their wellbeing and recovery.
  • Liaise with other agencies in planning and assessing programmes of care.
  • Provide formal, on-going clinical supervision and caseload management supervision to junior and less experienced community mental health staff, as directed.
  • Undertake duties designed to extend clinical and managerial expertise as delegated by the manager when required. This will include deputising in the absence of the Senior Practitioner.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carry overall responsibility for the management of a caseload, acting as a care co-ordinator, as defined by the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
  • Deliver effective care and treatment that is carried out within a multidisciplinary framework and in collaboration with other agencies.
  • Involve service users and their carers in planning care that includes all of their individual and diverse needs.
  • Design individual programmes of care collaboratively with patients to maximize self- management and social inclusion and reflect their own goals and aspirations. Review and adjust plans according to changing service user needs.
  • Provide evidence based therapeutic interventions using developed interpersonal skills such as CBT or psycho-education.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
