Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for a Senior Practitioner to work full-time within the Looked After Children Team based in Hemel Hempstead. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Senior Practitioner role is £32,741- £39,728 per annum.
Duties:
Leading and managing less experienced staff
Researching and sharing up to date social work practice
Prepare and deliver care proceedings to conferences and court hearings
Undertake single child and family assessments
Providing high-quality support and planning for children and young people who are in long term foster care, residential care and semi-independent care up until the age of 18
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current Social Work England registration
Significant senior level frontline experience in a safeguarding team
Strong written and verbal skills
Recent experience of casework in Assessments, Child Protection, Children Looked After and Care Proceedings
In-depth knowledge of relevant childcare legislation
