What you will do:

– Manage a caseload of children and young people in the care of the local authority, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
– Develop, implement, and regularly review detailed care plans in collaboration with the child, family, carers, and other professionals.
– Undertake statutory visits and fulfil all statutory duties as per relevant legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and the Children and Families Act 2014.
– Prepare comprehensive and high-quality reports for reviews, court proceedings, and permanency panels.
– Promote permanence through avenues such as long-term fostering, adoption, or reunification wherever possible.
– Support children and young people through transitions and placement changes, ensuring their stability and well-being.
– Collaborate in a multi-agency setting to meet the holistic needs of the child, including education, health, and emotional well-being.
– Engage and build positive relationships with children and young people to empower them to achieve their potential.
– Participate in child review meetings, supervision, team meetings, and training to continually improve service provision.
– Maintain precise and current case records, adhering to local authority policies and procedures.
