Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Ipswich in Leaving Care Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 6 -month contract.

Duties:

  • You will work with a specialist team of Social Workers and Personal Advisers to deliver high quality social care services to young people leaving care throughout Suffolk.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • Have experience of working with young people in a professional capacity, as well as an understanding of the issues and challenges that affect Care Leavers as they move into independence.
  • Have enthusiasm and be creative in engaging young people.
  • Experience of partnership working and working successfully with colleagues in other services on complex issues.
  • Hold a case load of primarily 16 and 17 year-old care leavers, providing 1-1 support.
  • Promote the need for improvement and act as a role model for change.
  • Be positive, committed, adaptable and thorough, those around you will appreciate your confident approach and your personal integrity.
  • Be able to work to deadlines and motivate others to work effectively.
