Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work part-time in Barking & Dagenham, within the Leaving Care Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £38,945 - £44,774 per annum.
The Learn to Live aims to safeguard and promote young people to support them to live independently lives. You'll manage complex cases and plan to promote young people through pathway plans. You'll be confident about working with partners within and without the council to deliver effective and efficient services. You'll take responsibility for enabling contact arrangements and ensuring that health assessments and personal education plans are in place. Throughout, you'll engage successfully with the children and make sure that their voices are heard and recorded consistently.
We'll also expect you to contribute to the team - helping us develop and improve standards. In return, we will give you the time and support you need to make a difference. We are driving down caseloads and investing heavily in better IT and mobile working technology to help staff spend more quality time doing what matters.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- At least two years' experience of working with looked after children
