Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Fostering service based in Dorset.
The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £31 - £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
The candidate will need to have substantial experience within social work, including experience of working within a Fostering Service.
Duties:
- Support and supervision of a caseload of foster carers
- Delivering monthly support groups for foster carers
- Undertaking annual reviews of foster carers
- Being a duty worker for the Fostering Service approximately one day every 6 weeks
- Being involved in events for foster carers and looked after children
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
