Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time based in Hereford, within the Fostering Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £27.43 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
The fostering social worker role is supported by dedicated duty workers, a training officer and 2 family support workers. The team work closely with Herefordshire Intensive Placement Support Team to offer carers consultation with a Children’s Psychologist and lead therapeutic workers. The aim is to raise awareness of therapeutic models and PACE with foster carers. To date Herefordshire Fostering service has been able to develop a range of specialist schemes and will continue to support your own professional development. There is potential to develop special areas of interest and training modules.
Duties:
Supervise and support foster carers.
Provide high quality placements with foster carers and kinship carers.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
Fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent)
Current Social Work England registration
Previous experience within frontline children’s social work
Experienced in assessment skills, mediation and supervision roles to help train and support Herefordshire foster carers.
