Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a permanent vacancy for a Social Worker to work based in Rochester, within the Fostering Team.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £35,541 - £39,532 per annum.

Duties:

  • Contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Children’s Social Care Service, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision

  • Work with foster carers, children and families to support vulnerable service users ensuring the needs of the child remain paramount

  • Assess, plan, use evidence-based analytical practice to implement and evaluate safeguarding measures to ensure all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential

  • Work to a structured time management practice; submitting reports, assessments and plans within regulated timescales

  • Maintain accurate written and computerised records, in accordance with agreed procedures and in order to meet legislative responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate, and take a lead role in multi-professional/ agency  groups and other professional meetings

  • adhere to and uphold the codes of conduct set out by Medway Council and Social Work England

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work

  • Current Social Work England registration

  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Children’s Services

  • Be competent in all areas of the PCF at the Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners
