Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Matlock, Derbyshire within the Fostering, Assessment and Recruitment Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £20.80 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- To recruit Foster carers by promoting the service, attending information events as required and working with existing foster carers and social workers.
- To provide information and advice to prospective foster carers
- To provide training to prospective foster carers
- To assess foster carers, and present to fostering panel
- To assess Connected carers
- To undertake Regulation 24 Fostering Assessments
- Prepare reports for Courts if necessary
- Work alongside Children's Social workers in the assessment of Connected carers and REG 24 Foster Carers
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
