Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Darlington in a Fostering and Supported Lodging Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £25.25 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3 -month 2 - week contract.

Duties:

The worker would hold a caseload of foster carers and connected carers offering monthly supervision and completing annual foster carer reviews. The role also involves taking part in a duty rota - dealing with placement requests and undertaking pre-placement meetings.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • At least 2 Years' experience in children and families
  • Experience of working within a fostering team is essential
  • Ideally we require a Social Worker with experience in completing Form C Connected Carer assessments, Form F assessments and Special Guardianship work. This includes contributing to Special Guardianship support plans and planning for permanence where appropriate
  • We require a worker who is able to meet statutory timescales both for the completion of assessments, and the ability to ensure compliance with The Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
